"Lights Up" Theatre Arts Summer Camp

We are thrilled to bring this opportunity to the West Park community as a way of connecting aspiring, young actors to our dynamic Theatre Arts program at West Park High School. Additionally, we hope to create an environment that fosters confidence, collaboration, creativity and joy while giving the new generation of rising stars the skills they will need to be successful performers and humans. Whether your child is used to the spotlight or new to the stage, our camp will help them shine bright! 

This is a two week camp for any K - 8th grade student interested in theatre, musical theatre, or theatrical design. Campers will be split into groups by age. Each group will have a unique track that they follow every day covering classes ranging from Ensemble Building, Improv Games, Costume Design, Choreography, Vocal Technique, Characterization, and Scene Study. All workshops/classes will be lead by current West Park High School Theatre Arts Department Students and Alumni under the supervision of our Program Director, Kat DeLapp. PLUS, all campers will be working on preparing for a production that we will share out with the community at the end of our camp.

Print and Complete the Liability and Photo Release Form
Please bring this form, hard copy, to the first day of camp. If you have multiple campers participating, please print a form for each individual child.

STEP 3: 

Digital Audition
​Once you complete your registration and payment you will be emailed audition information beginning on February 1st, 2026.  All vocal and dance auditions will be done digitally in advance of camp. We are asking that all campers submit these videos for proper placement vocally and in our dance ensemble. Note: If a camper does NOT want to be featured in a leading role they can indicate that they would like to participate in the ensemble/ group numbers. If your camper is looking for a featured moment, they can also indicate that.
